Director, Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence

Marc is the Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale University. He is the creator of RULER, a social and emotional approach to learning that has been adopted by over 1000 schools worldwide. Through training students, teachers, and administrators to learn more about their emotional world, RULER transforms schools from the ground up and has shown to boost the wellbeing, school performance, and emotional climate of the entire school. Marc has published over 100 scholarly articles and is the recipient of the Joseph E. Zins award for his work in revolutionizing the education systems of hundreds of schools around the world. Marc has build his entire career on improving the wellbeing of all children in schools around the world. The RULER approach is adopting an integrated version of the Four Pillars of Wellbeing curricula to share with their partner schools around the world.
