Nadya Hutagalung is a United Nations Environment Goodwill Ambassador, TV host and media personality on networks such as Discovery Channel and National Geographic, and was voted one of Singapore’s Top 20 most influential people by CNN.
As an environmental advocate, Nadya is one of Asia’s leading voices in the Green Movement. Nadya built one of Singapore’s first eco-homes, founded a sustainable jewelry line, and started Green Kampong, which was an online resource for information and news on sustainable living.
2014 saw Nadya create Let Elephants Be Elephants, an ivory reduction campaign, documenting for National Geographic the illegal trade and its effects. In the last 2 years, Nadya has been focusing on Sumatran Elephants.
Nadya is also deeply passionate about reform in education and was a long-serving board member at Green School Bali, one of the most progressive schools on earth with sustainability and entrepreneurship at the heart of the curriculum.
