Eugene Wesley Roddenberry, Jr. is the co-founder and chairman of The Roddenberry Foundation. He is the son of the late Gene Roddenberry, whose Star Trek series revolutionized television and left a legacy of inspiration for our world. It is Rod's vision to be the guardian of the Roddenberry legacy and champion its timeless and universal ideals to new generations through creative and inspiring science fiction productions, merchandise, publishing, underwater adventures and philanthropy.

The Roddenberry Foundation funds innovative solutions to critical global issues in science and technology, the environment, education and humanitarian advances. Since 2001, Rod has continued to advance the Star Trek philosophy as CEO of Roddenberry Entertainment, where he has led a talented creative team in the evolution of the company’s groundbreaking science fiction into an innovative, multimedia portfolio of graphic novels, comics, television and film projects.

A scuba diver since 1993, Rod holds a Divemaster certification and has participated or led more than 1,000 dives from exotic locations around the world. Much like his father navigated the heavens through Star Trek, Rod founded and leads the adventure-based Roddenberry Adventures in its exploration of strange, new underwater worlds and strives to inspire stewardship of our oceans.
